On December 13, 2023, from 17:00 to 18:30 China time (10:00 to 11:30 Central European Time), the second edition of the “China-Europe Regional Technology Innovation Cooperation Seminar” was successfully hosted by ENRICH, the European Network of Research and Innovation Centers and Gensol. The event gathered over 30 experts, scholars, business representatives, innovation entities, and research institutions from both China and abroad.
The seminar focused on the theme of “The Flourishing Innovation Ecosystem and Development of the Innovation Chain in China in Recent Years.” The objective was to provide a comprehensive overview of China’s innovation ecosystem while delving into the key elements for success for enterprises, researchers, and entrepreneurs within the innovation chain ecosystem.
Representatives from Gensol briefly explained how innovation centers assist overseas companies in better establishing their presence in China. They highlighted the crucial role of policies and advocacy by the Chinese government in promoting technological innovation. Various policies and incentives actively facilitate research and development activities, aiding companies in engaging in technological collaborations. Helen Yao from China’s Voxeljet 3D Printing Technology Innovation Center shared insights into the center’s current entrepreneurial ecosystem, showcasing China’s dynamic entrepreneurial culture. The center’s successful cases and methods received particular attention in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Finally, Alice Zhang from the Nanjing Overseas Collaborative Innovation Center emphasized the opportunities and challenges encountered in the process of international cooperation with Chinese enterprises, universities, and research institutions. She also introduced ongoing collaborative research projects with overseas companies, providing valuable guidance for participants.
Through this seminar, not only were the challenges and opportunities faced by companies and entrepreneurs entering the Chinese market thoroughly explored, but strategies were also provided to address obstacles in regulations, culture, and the market. In the future, ENRICH and Gensol Innovation Center will continue to organize this series of events, collectively exploring emerging technology and industry trends in China, offering assistance to enterprises, researchers, and entrepreneurs in their innovation development journey.
